• My good play was I had a suited 8/9 and the flop contained a 9. I bet out and was automatically called by Uncle Mike. The board turned an A and I bet out representing and was again autocalled by Uncle Mike. The river did not improve my hand, but instead of giving up I continued to represent the ace and made a large bet. I was able to bluff him off pocket tens. Sorry Mike.

  • Bad play number one. There was a player the I'd only played with a couple of times before. I knew he liked to see flops, but you could get him off a hand with a big postflop bet. I raised preflop in the SB with A/9 and he was the only caller. I didn't hit the flop, but bet out in order to wrestle the pot away. However, I didn't realize he only had $12 behind him (rookie mistake, ugh). I bet out $20, He autocalled as he was undoubtedly committed. He had the smallest piece, but it was good enough to win.

  • Bad play number two. I had 8/9 suited and called a preflop raise from Vegas. The board came 2/8/J. Hoping for Ax from Vegas I called his first bet. The turn came 4 and Vegas bet out $20. I looked at my hand again and realized I misread it. I had T/9 (even bigger rookie mistake). I was opened ended and there was about $60 in the pot. It was a bad call, but at that point I wanted to see the river. It came blank. Vegas bet out and I folded. I will say that if the board rivered a 7 or Q the argument that would have ensued would have been epic.
